Selected Veil of Aurora Songs
Abyss
Abyss explores the image of a world approaching an edge while people continue competing for position, influence and control.
The abyss functions both as a physical image and as a metaphor for collective human behaviour.
We Just Watched
We Just Watched focuses on indifference and the moments in which people notice the suffering of others but continue with their own lives.
The visual world surrounding the song uses ordinary urban situations and observers separated from what is happening around them.
Strings of the Silent King
Strings of the Silent King explores manipulation, dependency and invisible forms of control.
Recurring imagery of strings, control and the throne connects the visual narrative with the central theme of the song.
Strings of the Silent King Pt. 2 – The Empty Throne
The second part continues the themes of manipulation and control while shifting the perspective toward breaking the cycle and leaving the throne empty.
Get There First
Get There First examines competition and a society in which being first can become more important than understanding where everyone is actually going.
Always Somewhere Else
Always Somewhere Else explores emotional distance, impermanence and the feeling that someone is never completely present.
It Was Always You
It Was Always You explores blame, responsibility and the tendency to place the cause of conflict entirely on someone else.
The visual world of Veil of Aurora
Veil of Aurora uses a recurring cinematic visual language to connect its music and stories.
Aurora is commonly portrayed with long dark hair, a pale appearance and a restrained, serious expression.
The visual style frequently uses darkness, silhouettes, cold landscapes, urban environments, strong contrasts and isolated sources of light.
Unusual camera perspectives and changing environments place Aurora inside the story rather than presenting her only as a conventional performance figure.
